Hi, I’m Lana! I live in the Pittsburgh, PA area with my husband and our lab/husky mix, Tucker. By night I’m a critical care nurse; by day I enjoy baking, journaling, reading, video games, hiking in the woods, and listening to podcasts.

I started becoming more eco-conscious in 2019 after reading and researching many blog posts, podcasts, and, eventually, print books. I had spent much of my life knowing that our collective human habits were destructive to the Earth, but I was choosing to turn a blind eye because change is difficult. I don’t have tons of money to invest in the newest eco-friendly products; I don’t have time to scour the countryside for true farm fresh meats and make a home cooked meal from scratch every night. As time went on, however, I could no longer ignore my impact on the world around me. I hope that through my journey to being kinder to the Earth, I can inspire you to make changes in your own life.
My favorite thing that I’ve heard on this journey is, “Progress, not perfection.” You don’t have to be zero-waste; you don’t have to be vegan; and you don’t have to change your habits completely overnight. Each small step is a small victory for you and for the Earth we live in.
